We buy complete slab formwork kits and separate parts: telescopic props, H20 beams, forkheads, tripods and plywood. On-site valuation and payment right after inspection
A slab formwork system is a kit of several kinds of components. We buy the complete kit as well as individual items. Formex rents out and sells slab formwork itself, so we buy directly, with no middleman. Systems from different manufacturers are accepted, new and used.
Height-adjustable steel props that carry the slab while the concrete is poured. At the inspection we check the thread, the locking pins and that the tube is straight.
The beams that carry the plywood deck. Sold separately from a kit, they are valued per running metre.
Forkheads hold the beams on top of the props; tripods keep a prop upright during assembly.
The formwork deck. We take it together with the kit or as separate sheets.
Extra components, if your system has them, are valued together with the main kit.
The minimum lot is 50 m². Separate props, beams or plywood are bought too — see the parts buyback page for how they are valued.
The price is set after inspection and depends on condition, volume and demand. For a slab kit, what matters most is how many pours it has done and how complete it is; our specialist confirms the grade at the inspection.
| Condition | What it means for slab formwork |
|---|---|
| New | Unused or 1–2 pours: props without dents, threads turn freely, plywood undamaged, documents available. |
| Used, good condition | 5–15 pours, minimal wear, at least 90% complete, no critical damage to props or beams. |
| Economy | 20+ pours, visible signs of use, some components missing, minor damage possible. |
Critically damaged components are valued separately.
A slab kit consists of many small parts, so a tidy site saves time for both sides.
Strip the kit and sort the components by type: props, beams, forkheads, tripods, plywood.
Check the props: the thread should turn and the locking pins should be in place. Put faulty props aside — they are valued separately.
Clean concrete off the beams and plywood and stack the sheets — that makes the face easier to assess.
Count each type of component and estimate the slab area the kit covers: with that description the valuation is more accurate.
Buyback terms for every formwork type are collected on the main buyback page. Separate parts of a slab kit have a page of their own.

The price is set after inspection and depends on condition, volume and demand. A kit in good condition (5–15 pours, at least 90% complete) is valued higher than an economy kit with 20 or more pours.
